Why we do what we do
Breaking the Shackles of Poverty
Most residents of the Kiamaiko slum in Nairobi, Kenya, on a good day, will make about $2.00. While primary school in Kenya is free, high school and university is not. In Kiamaiko, school fees for higher education are unaffordable. Without access to a good education in a highly competitive job market, children are destined to grow up only to repeat the lives of their parents and remain in abject poverty.
The Kiamaiko Foundation is already making a difference in the lives of more than 300 children by providing them with the education, life-skills and self-belief, so that one day they will find sustainable employment, escape poverty, leave the slum, and go on to discover their true potential.
With your kind support, The Foundation will help so many more.
